The best time to visit Kashmir is in summer, when the sky glows in shades of orange and blue. You may stay in a houseboat, or simply take time to become one with the natural beauty. If you are feeling adventurous, you may visit in winter and enjoy skiing, tobogganing, sledge-riding, and more.
This place is adorned with gardens and flowerbeds, to be enjoyed in solitude. Art and culture play a huge role in the everyday lives of the locals, and you may explore these by visiting handicraft exhibitions and stores here.
Arrive Srinagar, a Lake city of Kashmir, located in the heart of the Kashmir valley at an altitude of 1,730 m above sea level, famous for its lakes dotted with Shikaras, and the Mughal Gardens.. Transfer to hotel. This afternoon visit the world famous Mughal gardens built by Emperor Jehangir. Enjoy a ‘Shikara ride’ on the picturesque Dal lake. Overnight at hotel.
This morning proceed for a full day excursion to Gulmarg, a Meadow of Flowers situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, and a famous ski resort during the winters. Enjoy leisurely walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snow capped mountains OR enjoy an optional Gondola ride (Cable Car). Overnight at Hotel.
Drive to Sonamarg through the Sindh Valley which presents yet another spectacular facet of countryside in Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 2730 m, Sonamarg ('The meadow of gold') has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. Optionally visit Thajiwas glacier, a major local attraction during the summer months. Evening drive back to Srinagar. Overnight at Hotel.
Today you will be transferred by road to Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds - Situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder river, situated at 2,130 m. Arrive and proceed to your hotel, rest of the day at leisure to explore the countryside on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
This morning is at leisure. Later you will be transferred back to Srinagar, rest of the day at leisure for shopping and own activities, overnight on board the Houseboat.
Transfer to airport for your onward flight back home.
